Stella McCartney Relaunching Perfume
Stella McCartney has relaunched Stella, her signature fragrance, with updated packaging and new bottle sizes. The scent now comes in a dark violet carton with embossed gold dots. Lara Stone was tapped as the face of the new campaign, launching today. “Stella is a celebration of women, and Lara is the perfect representation. She brings the ideas of the fragrance alive, in an honest way. She is a modern woman who is approachable and sensual at the same time,” McCartney said. Stella is now available in London and will hit stores internationally on August 1st. The scent originally launched in 2003.
Louis Vuitton Releasing ‘Fashion Photography’
This fall, Louis Vuitton is releasing “Louis Vuitton Fashion Photography,” a limited-edition book containing over 200 images of Louis Vuitton products, advertising campaigns and fashion articles spanning the Fifties to the present. The book will be available starting October 1st in select Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and online at louisvuitton.com.
Marimekko Hires New Creative Director
Marimekko has tapped a fast-fashion industry veteran to revamp its collections as it expands globally. Anna Teurnell, who recently helped H&M launch its new brand, is now leading Marimekko’s design team. She is also responsible for the brand’s strategy for fashion, accessories and home products. “I want the Marimekko experience to be very inviting and inspiring. The collections and the store experience and the communication are quite fantastic, but I want it to be as relevant and modern and desirable as possible,” Teurnell said in a statement.
