I was a little (OK, a lot) apprehensive about covering the denim jumpsuit and romper because I don’t want you to confuse them with overalls. I know overalls are on trend for this season, but I truly feel if you are over the age of 10, they look ridiculous. Truth be told, I am warming to them a bit for the under 25 crowd, but seriously…it’s a fine line. However, one look I don’t mind and in fact am surprisingly somewhat loving is the denim jumpsuit or even the romper. First of all, they are easy. Just throw one on, and you are ready to go. Second, they are just cool on pretty much every age-group. I saw a denim jumper at the H&M Fall Preview earlier this week and I was smitten. The short romper styles are obviously better for the warmer temperatures. The longer jumpsuit can easily be worn into the fall. Just add booties and a blazer. Look for styles with drawstrings or belt-loops if you are afraid of looking pear-like. This look is not for every body type so beware. The taller and thinner you are, the better. Oh and any wash will do. Well maybe not acid if you did that in the 80’s. Take a look at the slide show of editor-approved styles I found above.
