Celebrate Kiehl’s 5th Anniversary of LifeRide, a twelve-day motorcycle ride to raise funds for HIV/AIDS research and help find a cure in our lifetime. Kiehl’s is donating up to $150,000 to amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, and from August 2-13, LifeRiders will stop at Kiehl’s stores along the way. On Monday President of Kiehl’s, Chris Salgardo, and fellow celebrity supporters of the cause made their first stop in Chicago at Kiehl’s Michigan Avenue location and hosted a Bikes & BBQ bash to kick it all off, with food from Lillie’s Q!

LifeRiders included Malcom-Jamal Warner,“Sons of Anarchy”, Gilles Marini, “Switched at Birth”,  Ben Cohen, World Cup Rugby Champion and Founder of Standup Foundation, Teddy Sears,  “Masters of Sex”, Grant Reynolds, TV host and former Marine sniper, artist Conrad Leach and actress Milissa Sears.

I chatted with President of Kiehl’s, Chris Salgardo who is super passionate about the ride, and raising funds and awareness to help find a cure for AIDS our lifetime. Since he started this 5 years ago, the event and funds have grown each year. He told me the hand cream was a good product to remind us “The Cure is in your hands.”

Exciting news about the finale: Mary J. Blige will be the host of the celebration!

In celebration of LifeRide, every customer that visits one of these stores on the event day will receive a 15% discount on all purchases, with the exception of charitable products and value sets. Kiehl’s will donate that 15% to amfAR, up to the $125,000 total donation. Each stop store will also offer the celebration discount on a second day, either before or after its stop.
