Carolina Herrera App, fashion App

Carolina Herrera’s Style App

Carolina Herrera is joining the mobile revolution with the new personal shopping app, Herrera Style. Launching later this month, it will connect sales associates and shoppers. Consumers are invited to download the private app, which uses digital agency King & Partner’s Iras Style Concierge software. Sales associates in Carolina Herrera boutiques will use it to interact with their clients by sending images of new looks, trunk show invitations and communicating one-on-one. The app will be tailored specifically for each of Carolina Herrera’s top customers.

Yahoo Health Taps Women’s Health EIC

Michele Promaulayko, the editor in chief at Women’s Health, has been hired to head Yahoo Health. She will join Joe Zee and Bobbi Brown, who accepted other editor in chief positions at Yahoo Style and Yahoo’s beauty magazine, respectively. Promaulayko’s first order of business will be building a staff of bloggers and health experts. “The thing about digital that I love is there’s a video component and also seeing lots of great voices. The wonderful thing about digital is that you have infinite space,” Promaulayko said. She worked for Women’s Health for six years and helped to grow the magazine’s revenue and readership.

Opening Ceremony Staging NYFW Play

Opening Ceremony is collaborating with Spike Jonze and Jonah Hill to direct and write a one-act play for their NYFW fashion show. Scheduled for September 7th, the play is Jonze’s first project since winning an Oscar for “Her.” The famed director will cast models and actors in the play and personally brought on Hill to cowrite it. “We were really excited about him writing an original script and seeing how this would take shape,” said OC cofounder Humberto Leon. Jonze has previously partnered with OC for his film “Where The Wild Things Are.”
