Citizen Unveils Limited-Edition Ecosphere Watch

To mark the return of Victoria Azarenka to the U.S. Open, Citizen Watch Company of America has created a limited-edition Ecosphere watch with a rose-gold-tone stainless steel case with white silicone strap and white dial. Each of the watches, which will retail for $495, comes in a white leatherette presentation box with gold trim and accents.

To ensure that Azarenka is well dressed when she’s sporting her new timepiece, Citizen enlisted top design students from the High School of Fashion Industries to create outfits to coordinate with the watch. Azarenka was in Monte Carlo and London training during the process, but consulted with the students via Skype. The winning outfit will be revealed Wednesday morning and Azarenka will wear it during an appearance that day on “Good Day New York.”

Citizen contributed $15,000 to the high school for the effort, including a $5,000 college scholarship for the winner.
