Hermès and Equestrian Partnership Extended

Hermès is continuing its partnership with the US Equestrian Federation. The iconic brand will design accessories and technical apparel for all USEF teams, outfitting riders and horses. The looks will debut at the World Equestrian Games, which began this Saturday and conclude on September 7th in Normandy, France. Select pieces will be available online and at Hermès boutiques in NYC and Beverly Hills. Hermès is also currently the title sponsor of the US show jumping team. “This new partnership with the USEF represents our continued commitment, ensuring that riders and horses alike have access to the very best available products to meet the demands of competition at the highest level,” said Robert Chavez, president and CEO of Hermès USA.

Tommy Hilfiger NYFW Update

Tommy Hilfiger is set to return to the Park Avenue Armory for New York Fashion Week. Set to take place September 8th at 11 am, Hilfiger’s spring show will introduce a “First Timers” digital program, which features digital influencers in music, dance, architecture and travel to document the experience of attending a fashion show for the first time. Each influencer will focus on a different element of the show and incorporate their area of expertise with the fashion world. Photos will be shared via blogs and social media, including a live social media feed on tommy.com and on huge screens backstage at the show.

Rumors: Macy’s Headed for China?

Macy’s Inc. could be planning to dominate the Chinese market. Industry insiders have reported that Macy’s senior executives flew to China last week, raising speculation that the department store is close to signing a deal to open multiple locations there. In addition, Macy’s is reportedly in talks to open a huge store in Abu Dhabi at Sowwah Central megamall, which would be ready in 2017. Macy’s has yet to open a full-line store abroad.
