Youthful Glow Beauty Look at London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week

During the spring 2015 collections in Europe many brands showed beauty trends like youthful glowing skin, lightly textured hair, singular standout details and a variety of braids. The “youthful glow” look was seen at Burberry, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Simone Roche, Carven, Alberta Ferretti, Isabelle Marant (pictured above) and Chloe, to name a few! Fresh, dewy skin was a consistent trend on the runways for spring 2015.

EBay and PayPal To Become Two Independent Companies

EBay Inc. the San Jose California-based company said in a statement today it will create two independent public companies — EBay and PayPal — in the second half of 2015. The creation of independent eBay and PayPal businesses will take up to 12 months to complete. This move took place to heed demands by activist shareholder Carl Icahn and give the business independence it can use to contend with rising competition from Apple Inc. and Google Inc. Back in March Chief Executive Officer John Donahoe, who said a full separation was “not a good idea,” won’t have an executive role in the businesses.

Beyond the Rack Bolsters Private Label With Loan Facility

Beyond the Rack, the Montreal-based off-price flash site, has obtained a $10 million debt facility to help build on its growing efforts in private-label merchandise. “It gives us that little bit of the extra bandwidth we need,” said Yona Shtern, Co-ounder and CEO of Beyond The Rack. “We’ve recently added a private-label component to our business, mostly in the home area, and you need capital to fund something like that. This financing gives us a good working capital buffer.” The company’s core business of branded women’s, men’s and children’s apparel and accessories, as well as cosmetics and electronics, sold at discounts of up to 80 percent.  “It is now self-funding, but private-label is somewhere around 2 percent and expected to grow to between 5 and 7 percent next year.”
