One of our favorite boot trends for fall ’14 is the Chelsea Bootie. They are utilitarian, unfussy, comfortable, go with everything from jeans to dresses and lastly…they are seriously badass! Chelsea boots date back to the Victorian era. In fact, they were originally designed and patented by Queen Victoria’s shoemaker J. Sparkes-Hall, back in 1851. The close fitting ankle boot is known for it’s elastic side paneling making it easy to get on and off and therefore made them perfect for everything from horseback riding to walking. The Chelsea boot became popular again in the 1960’s when The Beatles made them part of their uniform. Perfect for both men and women, they certainly are the ideal city boot and a must-have in your fall shoe arsenal. You may never take them off.
