Charles Tyrwhitt is known in the UK as the largest purveyor of men’s fine dress shirts and this past winter the brand opened a store in Chicago! You can find the store perfectly located, smack dab in the central business district of Chicago’s Loop at 208 South LaSalle. Last week a cocktail celebration was held at the well-appointed store with The Nick Mazzarella Trio treating us to a lively jazz set, while we shopped for shirts, sipped Prosecco and noshed on light bites from Truffleberry Market. The brand’s Founder and Chairman Nick Wheeler and CEO Greg Hodder visited from across the pond to meet and greet guests.
I’m not as accustomed to shopping for menswear as for myself, but I enjoyed choosing a shirt for my boyfriend. There was a huge selection! I noticed well-dressed men at the party carrying armloads of shirts to the register, so I knew Rich would like one as well. I had his size and the friendly sales associates were helpful in assisting me and recommending the right cut. Charles Tyrwhitt signature fine quality formal cotton shirts are available in three different fits, and a choice of collar and cuff styles.
Besides shirts, the shop offers a wide range of silk ties, 100% wool suits, cotton cashmere sweaters, raincoats, fine calf leather shoes, and cuff links. To celebrate the special occasion, Charles Tyrwhitt released limited-edition cuff links emblazoned with the Chicago flag!
