I love a cape coat. It makes such a statement yet, is very versatile. You can wear a cape with denim, leather skirts, trousers and pretty much everything else in your closet, making it the perfect fall topper. Just be sure to keep the top underneath thin because you don’t want to add unwanted bulk. Wear a thin turtleneck sweater, a button down or a long-sleeved tee with your cape and save your oversized, bulky sweater for another outfit. The idea is to look polished, but not stuffy.
