Chris Benz – New Creative Director at Bill Blass
The designer name Bill Blass has not been seen on a women’s collection since 2012 when Jeffrey Monteiro left the company. Even before that the Bill Blass Group has had hard times since Blass retired in 1999 and died in 2002. However, Chris Benz the new creative director is already envisioning what women need and want. In the past two years, the company has been pulling back all the licenses, copyrights and registered trademarks and will officially relaunch in spring 2016.
Valentino’s New Assouline Book
Valentino Garavani held his signing for his new book, Valentino: At the Emperor’s Table on Tuesday evening. The event was held as Maison Assouline on London’s Piccadilly. His next stop is New York at the new Valentino boutique on Fifth Avenue. Celebrity guests who attended included: Anne Hathaway, Roland Mouret and Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece.
Largest Tory Burch Store in the World
Wednesday night brought much excitement as the largest Tory Burch store in the world opened up in Shanghai, China. To celebrate the opening of the 9,645 square foot flagship spectacular details were at hand including: a marching band performing and a boxwood hedge depiction of the New York skyline. Also being celebrated was the launch of a special capsule collection of 20 ready to wear pieces and accessories, exclusively available at the Shanghai location.
