Van Cleef & Arpels Holiday Windows
Van Cleef & Arpels will unveil its holiday windows at their Fifth Avenue flagship store with the center of attention on its Peau d’Âne high-end jewelry collection. The unveiling of the windows will mark the U.S. debut of the collection, originally launched in the summer in France. The main inspiration was Peau d’Âne, a fairy tale written by Charles Perrault. “It’s a love story, and you have all the elements of a true fairy tale — a princess, a castle, et cetera,” Alain Bernard, Chief Executive of the Americas said. “We love to tell a story through our high jewelry collection, and this was a way to retell the reoccurring themes of Van Cleef & Arpels, which is nature, couture and of course, romance.”
Anna Wintour Gets Honored

The award ceremony will be held on Dec. 1 and the Vogue editor and Condé Nast creative director will be honored for her contribution to the fashion industry. Titled “Déboutonnez la Mode” or “Unbuttoning Fashion,” the exhibit will showcase over 2,000 antique buttons that were acquired in 2012. They will be displayed on clothing, accessories, drawings and photographs. The exhibit is set to run from Feb. 12 to July 19, 2015.
