Estée Lauder Buys Frédéric Malle

Estée Lauder has completed its third acquisition in less than a month with the purchase of Frédéric Malle. The luxurious fragrance brand’s business is estimated to be around $16 million, and the sale will be final in January. Frédéric Malle joins Le Labo and Rodin Olio Lusso, which Estée Lauder purchased last week. The Malle collection consists of 21 fragrances created by 12 international master perfumers. The company has two stores in New York and three in Paris.

Cosmo Conference Crashed by ’60 Minutes’

Cosmopolitan’s “Fun Fearless Life” conference took place in Manhattan this past weekend. The magazine sold out Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater for two days. On Saturday, Harvard Business School professor Amy Cuddy delivered a version of her famous TED Talk, which is the most viewed talk online. A “60 Minutes” camera crew bypassed security and attempted to conduct an unplanned interview with Cuddy, who managed to bypass the crew. Her famous speech focuses on body language, power posing and empowerment.

Moschino’s New Fragrance

Moschino and licensing partner Euroitalia will unveil Moschino’s new eau de toilette. Jeremy Scott, Creative Director of the Italian fashion label since 2013, developed the unisex scent. The fragrance is called Toy and is packaged inside a teddy bear. An upcoming campaign for Toy features Isabeli Fontana and was shot by Steven Meisel.
