Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne for Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld’s Latest Chanel Film

Next week, Karl Lagerfeld is staging Chanel’s latest Métiers d’art collection in Salzburg. The accompanying video will debut on December 1st, but this morning Lagerfeld gave fans a sneak peek with the short film’s teaser. Titled “Resurrection,” the film stars Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne. They dance together in the teaser and will sing an original song, “CC the World,” in the film. The plot is reportedly based on history, reenacting a vacation Gabrielle Chanel took to Austria in 1954.

Hudson’s Bay Co. Announces Saks Deal

Hudson’s Bay Co. has unveiled plans for a $1.25 billion, 20-year mortgage on a part of the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship in NYC. The transaction will close in early December and the money will mainly be used to pay off debt. The lenders commissioned an appraisal of the land and the building, which found the value of the property at $3.7 billion. The flagship will also go through a renovation in 2015, which will cost $250 million, but will add to Saks’ company value.

Theory Launching Accessories Line

Andrew Rosen’s brand Theory is known for sophisticated separates, and the designer has announced plans to launch an accessories line. The new Theory line will feature a full collection of bags and several different shoes. Rosen said he wants the bags, sourced in Italy, to last forever and have a discreet style. The company recently rehired original Theory designer Lisa Kulson as creative director after Olivier Theyskens departed. Kulson has also brought on an accessories team. The new line will be available on Janurary 15th at Theory boutiques and at theory.com. In addition, a men’s leather goods collection is in the works for next year.
