Madonna will be the latest face for Versace posing for their spring-summer 2015 campaign. This marks Madonna’s fourth advertising campaign with Versace, her first was in 1995. “Madonna is one of the true Versace icons,” said Donatella Versace, creative director of the Italian fashion house. The black-and-white images was photographed by Alas and Piggott in New York.
NYC Investing $3.5 Million in New Fashion Incubator
New York City officials will reveal plans to invest $3.5 million in a new fashion epicenter today. It will be titled the Manufacturing Innovation Hub for Apparel, Textiles & Wearable Tech. The 160,000-square-foot facility will support up and coming designers and create new jobs at the Liberty View Industrial Plaza in Brooklyn.
Victoria & Albert’s New Shoe Exhibit
London’s Victoria & Albert museum will open their summer fashion exhibit titled “Shoes: Pleasure and Pain” from June 13 through January 31, 2016. The exhibit will showcase more than 200 pairs of shoes and give attendees the agonizing aspects of wearing them and the obsession we have with them. Some designers included in the exhibit will be: Manolo Blahnik, Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo, etc.
