Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn for Burberry
British models Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn star in Burberry’s spring 2015 campaign. It’s the first time the duo has been photographed together. Mario Testino shot the images under creative direction of Burberry’s chief creative and CEO Christopher Bailey. “Naomi and Jourdan- two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign,” said Bailey. In the images, Campbell and Dunn are both wearing Burberry’s trenchcoats in pink and turquoise. The colorful Bee bag is also featured in the campaign. The digital and print ads will launch globally next month. Burberry’s full spring collection will hit stores and online January 5th.
Louis Vuitton’s Parisian Store Expands
Louis Vuitton’s expanded boutique on Avenue Montaigne is now open. Resembling a luxurious Parisian apartment or a five-star hotel, the 16,000-square-foot space focuses on customer service and technology. Artworks by Bernard Frize, Farhad Moshiri and Remy Markowitsch adorn the rooms, which were designed by American architect Peter Marino. Elite customers are brought to the third-floor salons, which are equipped with butlers and a kitchen big enough to host private dinners.
Changes at Gucci
There is speculation that the fashion direction at Gucci may change after it was announced that creative director, Frida Giannini, and CEO Patrizio di Marco are leaving the luxury goods house. Rumors are swirling that the reason being the current team was unable to get the company back on a stable growth track. Many are now speculating who will succeed Giannini and possible candidates include Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, Bottega Veneta’s Tomas Maier, Pucci’s Peter Dundas and Joseph Altuzarra. Marco Bizzarri will take over the CEO position on January 1st.
