Adidas and Kolor’s Junichi Abe Team Up
Adidas has teamed up with Junichi Abe, the designer behind the Japanese fashion brand Kolor. Abe has designed a capsule collection that includes 21 apparel items and two styles of shoes. The line was made to employ Adidas’ Climaheat, Climachill and Boost technologies. The line retails from $110 to $636, and is hitting stores in September.
Alessandro Michele for Gucci
Alessandro Michele taking over as creative director and will have “Total creative responsibility for all of Gucci’s collections and its brand image,” said the firm. Michele joined Gucci in 2002, as a senior accessories designer at Fendi. Then in 2011, he was appointed “associate” to Frida Giannini. In addition to that, just last year he became creative director of GRG Richard Ginori, acquired by Gucci in 2013. Michele has redone the men’s collection completely, but the brand is promoting the upcoming women’s fall 2015 collection has his first.
& Other Stories Teams Up With Clare Vivier
Only after launching in the U.S. a few months ago, & Other Stories is already in the works with a new collaboration. The retailer is coming out with a new exclusive collection of bags and accessories with Los Angeles based designer Clare Vivier. Vivier explains, “This collection was inspired by the urban busy woman, and like all my pieces these are utilitarian, but distinctively chic and fun.” The collection will be available online and in stores starting in March and will also feature a small selection of nail polishes as a way to break into the beauty industry. Prices will range from $195 (bags) to $9 (nail polish).
