While attending a Citizen event called “Better Starts Now” at the watch brand’s new Times Square flagship store nearly two weeks ago, I was introduced to a watch that blew me away…as in I have to have it! Citizen invited myself and about 20 other bloggers/influencers for breakfast and had four experts share time-saving tips to help with make up, nutrition, style and exercise, all aligned with their “Better Starts Now” campaign (more about that later).
Ellen Seckler from Citizen demonstrated the new ladies Eco-Drive A-T watch and I just can’t get it off my mind. If your current watch seems to loose minutes, has a battery that dies seemingly every year or just can’t be bothered checking your watch against every other clock you pass, then you must check this one out. Citizen Eco-Drive watches don’t have batteries. They don’t need them. All you need is a light source (natural or artificial) and the technology within this line converts it into energy. There is a power reserve indicator so you need never worry about a dead or dying watch.
World Time A-T is a stunning Eco-Drive watch and has (are you ready for this?) atomic clock synchronization. What does that mean? Well it automatically resets itself to the real (accurate) so you’ll never have to worry about whether you have the correct time. Radio controlled in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Japan and China, the World Time A-T keeps time in 26 time zones and features a perpetual calendar. If you are an international traveler the World Time A-T watch can switch between a primary and secondary time zone with the push of a button! It is quite literally the most accurate watch in the world. The women’s watch pictured above is $625 and the all stainless version is $595. There are also several styles for men.

About the Better Starts Now event…the slogan supports the idea is that it is always possible to make something better, and that now is the time to start doing it. The four experts all shared excellent and easy-to-implement tips for various facets of our daily lives. Makeup artist Christian Zamora imparted eye makeup tips including how to easily take your look from day to evening, creating the perfect brow and how to make eyes pop. Every woman can use a refresher on scarf tying and Lynn Roberts from ECHO showed us about 15 quick ways to ties 3 sizes of scarves. Fitness expert Scott Hamilton (not that one) taught us how to do simple stretches and alignment exercises using a scarf that you can even do in your office. Finally nutritionist Carol Rubin introduced us to a slew of healthy snacks to keep us on track in the new year. I have found and tried a few of them already.
