Issac Mizrahi Launching Color Cosmetics and Skincare

Isaac Mizrahi is gearing up to complete the beauty trifecta with a color and skin-care line called True Isaac MizrahiThe collection will officially launch Feb. 9 on the designer’s twice-weekly show on QVC along with simultaneous launches on isaacmizrahi.com and indie retailer Beauty Brands. At full rollout, it will be in about 150 doors.

The skin-care products, which are infused with a proprietary blend of CoQ10, green and white teas, Vitamins A and E and marine algae, are intended to prep the perfect canvas for the makeup. Mizrahi insisted upon “accessible” prices, and sku’s range between $10 and $68.

Olivia Palermo Partners with Ciaté

Olivia Palermo has signed on as creative director of Ciaté until spring 2016. She will provide input across the brand and will collaborate on four makeup and nail collections containing more than 18 stockkeeping units to celebrate the company’s entry into color cosmetics. 

The assortment will include a face compact, a lipstick infused with a collagen booster and suede textured eyeshadows, among others. Items are priced between $22 to $45. The first range of products, which includes nail enamel technology designed to keep color locked in while strengthening nails, will launch globally in May at Sephora. the packaging, which was inspired by Palermo’s personal style, combines metallic gold and textured leather to give off a modern, yet vintage vibe.

Preen.Me Launching Shoppable Instagram Feature

Consumer-generated beauty website Preen.Me is aiming to mix content and commerce with its new Shop Your Instagram feature. The program is intended to connect the demand for user-generated content and consumer purchasing power. The site already provides personalized recommendations based on the user’s social footprint and crowdsourcing. With this new feature, when a consumer “likes” a product on Instagram, it will trigger a shoppable email to that consumer’s email address. Preen.Me’s technology works with any Instagram account through the sign-in at www.preen.me/instagram.
