AllSaints Launching Handbags
AllSaints has been making leather jackets for 21 years, so it’s only fitting the brand would venture into bags. Creative director Wil Beedle has announced AllSaints’ debut handbag collection. The 48-piece line will launch in July and retail from $350 to $498. The different styles are named after streets in East London and will be available in black, tan and gray. The featured styles include a bucket bag, fold-over cross-body envelope clutch and a simple tote with a chain handle. AllSaints’ fall ready-to-wear collection was presented during London Fashion Week.
Kate Mara to Receive Award
Actress Kate Mara will receive the 2015 Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award. The annual award is given to outstanding actresses who ‘embody style and grace.’ Mara will be honored at the 2015 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles in June. She will also attend the Max Mara show this week in Milan. Past winners include Rose Byrne, Katie Holmes, Emily Blunt, Elizabeth Banks and Hailee Steinfeld.
Magazines Sales Declining
Newsstand sales for magazines fell 11 percent in 2014. Major publishers including Hearst, Condé Nast and Wenner saw double-digit declines in sales, as they lowered their newsstand orders and drove circulation with their low price subscription offers. On average, publishers printed 16.7 percent fewer magazines last year.
