The Zadig & Voltaire fall ’15 collection titled “Midnight Vagabond” was inspired by the Parisian rock ‘n’ roll girl who loves to stay out late chasing adventure. The collection presented at Paris Fashion Week Fall ’15 featured leather motorcycle jackets, multi-zipped mini skirts, studded suits, mesh knits and embellished bra tops. Designer Cecilia Bönström favored black, true to the rocker aesthetic, but included occasional bursts of color in the form of mustard yellow and a teal floral print. My favorite look was a yellow knit mini dress with intentionally ripped holes, a kangaroo pocket, enormous fur cuffs with a striped sweater tied around the neck. The looks were heavily accessorized with cross-body bags reminiscent of guitar straps. There were also luxurious fur vests, coats and scarves. Other fabrics used include cashmere, wool jersey and python leather.
