Macy’s Flower Show® returns to celebrate the renewal of spring at five Macy’s locations nationwide including Macy’s on State Street from Sunday, March 22 through Saturday, April 4, 2015. This year’s theme, Art in Bloom, takes visitors into a multi-dimensional floral fantasy featuring landscaped gardens that celebrate the deep connection between art and nature. The 2015 Macy’s Flower Show features 13 art-inspired gardens on the 9th Floor, each taking inspiration from art genres of the past including Impressionism, Surrealism, Art Nouveau, Renaissance and Pop Art to name a few. It feels like going to one of Chicago’s art museums! Enjoy additional gardens throughout the store and in the store’s display windows, too!
Five designers from the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street designed and constructed garments inspired by the art genre gardens featured in the 2015 Macy’s Flower Show. Fashion designs from Agnes Hamerlik, Lagi Nadeau, Olivia Hwang, Alyssa Kahle and Grace Lee-Lim are on display on the 9th floor near the gardens.
Macy’s Flower Show offers two weeks of in-store special events in Chicago. See the full event listing here.
