LFrank Launching New Lingerie Line
The whimsical aspect of the LFrank line is now going to be transformed into a new collection of lingerie, thanks to jewelry designer Liseanne Frankfurt. The new 15-piece collection will be sold at her new store and will be priced between $346 to $1,950. Styles include wrap-style dressing gowns, floor length double-layer slip dresses, stretch silk bralettes and more. The collection is based on some of her favorite pieces, such as an antique kimono she bought in college. Frankfurt has also incorporated jewel tones into the collection as well.
Donna Karan and Parsons Partner Up for Haiti Initiative
Donna Karan has partnered with Parsons The New School for Design to open DOT. DOT stands for the Design, Organization, Training Center for Haitian artists in Port-au-Prince. Karan has visited the country multiple times in the past five years to work with the artists. A few products being made are oversized leather necklaces, tobacco leaf vases, yoga mat bags made from recycled T-shirts and much more.
‘Dior & I’ Premieres In New York
Tuesday night brought stars such as: Lake Bell, Chanel Iman and Boyd Holbrook to New York City to see the premiere of the new documentary ‘Dior & I.’ The movie takes viewers on a journey through the making of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection for the French fashion house. The movie focuses also on the master tailors and seamstresses involved at Dior at that time too.
