Cara Delevingne for Zalando & Topshop
Berlin-based online retailer Zalando will now be carrying Topshop’s designs to distant European cities. The two brands have collaborated on a television and print campaign featuring Cara Delevingne, who’s been the face of Topshop in the past. A humorous film clip will debut on Sunday, showing Delevingne trying to pronounce the lesser-known cities where Zalando can ship Topshop. Director Gordon von Steiner shot the video in Los Angeles. Delevingne wears current Topshop designs styled by creative director Kate Phelan. Images shot will also appear in print advertising, while the film will be shown social media platforms. In addition to the Topshop campaign, von Steiner directed Zalando’s spring campaign, which features Arizona Muse. Topshop and Zalando began their partnership in September.
American Apparel Debuts Pro-Women Campaign
American Apparel’s advertising strategy to appeal to women is now underway. In an effort to revamp its image following Dov Charney’s firing, the Los Angeles-based retailer placed its first pro-women ad on the back page of Vice magazine. Some say it’s an odd choice, but the brand has a good relationship with the magazine, which is currently being revamped as well. The ad reads “Hello Ladies” and features various smiling female American Apparel employees. New American Apparel CEO, Paula Schneider, has stopped the company’s past overly sexualized ads.

At Vuitton, Galimberti will become a member of the executive committee and has international responsibility for communications and brand development for media relations, events and digital.
