Dao-Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne are DKNY Creative Directors
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, founders and creative directors of Public School, have been appointed as the new creative directors of DKNY. Also, Hector Muelas, creative director of global marketing at Apple Inc., has been hired as chief image officer at Donna Karan International. Chow and Osborne’s first collection for DKNY will hit the runway in September at New York Fashion Week. After designing women’s wear, they will focus on the brand’s men’s wear as well.

Who should be the face of American men’s wear at their first-ever New York Fashion Week? The Council of Fashion Designers of America will appoint an ambassador for NYFW: Men’s, from July 13 to 16 during its first run. Rumors are swirling that candidates include Jimmy Fallon, Tom Brady, Neil Patrick Harris, Pharrell Williams and Russell Westbrook.
DVF Hires Paolo Riva as CEO
After searching for two years, Diane von Furstenberg has announced her new chief executive officer. Paolo Riva will begin his new role of CEO of Diane von Furstenberg Studio later in May. He previously worked at Tory Burch, Valentino and Salvatore Ferragamo. Riva is considered an expert in finance, global merchandising, marketing and product development. “This is a most important decision for me. This is an heir, somebody to take it on for the next decades,” von Furstenberg said in a statement.
