Reese Witherspoon’s New Fashion Line
Reese Witherspoon has launched a new fashion line and website, called Draper James. The Southern-inspired lifestyle label and sportswear collection debuted online yesterday, offering clothes, accessories and home goods. Draper James is named after Witherspoon’s maternal grandparents and will reportedly have five collections a year. The busy actress is the majority shareholder in the brand.
Frye Company Hires CEO
Adrienne Lazarus has been named CEO of The Frye Company, owned by Hong Kong-based Global Brands Group. Lazarus was formerly president of Intermix and Ann Taylor. Frye currently has flagship retail stores in New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, DC.
Courrèges Taps Coperni Duo
Courrèges has appointed Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, designers of the French label Coperni, as artistic directors. The duo will helm the design of the brand’s women’s wear and are the first to officially do so since André Courrèges and his wife and creative partner Coqueline sold the company in 2011. Meyer, 26, and Vaillant, 25, are also among the eight finalists for the next LVMH prize. Their first collection for Courrèges will be for spring 2016.
