Eternity Now for WomenCalvin Klein Bets on Fragrance Eternity

Twenty-seven years after Eternity bowed in department stores, it’s getting a Millenial-style addition: Eternity Now, a new masterbrand which will be launched in July. Calvin Klein is continually strategizing how to make the Calvin Klein fragrance brand relevant to consumers throughout the world. Instead of creating new brands, like the company did with Reveal last year, Calvin Klein is focused on taking  the equities they currently possess and making them more relevant.

Eternity Now for Women has top notes of juicy lychee and quince sorbet, a heart of peony, peach blossom and neroli petals, and a drydown of cashmere veil, ambrox and sensual musk. The men’s version has top notes of spicy ginger, coconut water and star anise, a heart of starfruit, cedar lead and patchouli and a drydown of Moroccan cedarwood, tonka bean and Madagascar vanilla. Both the men’s and the women’s Eternity Now versions will have 1 oz., 1.7-oz and 3.4-oz. sprays; the women’s are $46, $64 and $82, respectively, the men’s $40, $60 and $76 respectively.

Lane Crawford Holds Designer Talent Search

Lane Crawford department stores in Shanghai and Hong Kong have held open calls for new design talent this week. The retailer’s “Platform” initiative saw new designer and contemporary brands across women’s wear, men’s wear, shoes, bags, accessories (including sunglasses and fashion and fine jewelry) as well as home and lifestyle.

Events were held Tuesday in Hong Kong, where contestants came from as far away as Germany, and Thursday in Shanghai, where about 300 creatives made the initial cut and met with the judges. They were competing for free space, either in store or online, a possible editorial feature on and mentoring guidance. Winners will be revealed later this month.

Ralph Lauren Launching Luxe Concept in Milan

Ralph Lauren is going luxe in Milan, offering its VIP customers one-on-one treatment in a posh new store occupying 11,840 square feet on Via San Barnaba.

The new concept, which is set to open in September, will welcome guests by personal appointment during which they can opt for lunch or drinks on the terrace or in the salon of the Milan Palazzo, a former residence built in 1941. The concept is seen as a place for celebrities and powerful shoppers who, when they’re not buying something in a rush, want to immerse themselves in the full Ralph Lauren experience. The unit will show off the brand’s women’s collection and men’s Purple Label looks, and services on offer will include customized accessories and tailoring for women and made-to-measure suits for men.
