If you are over the age of 30 you have probably been trained (or brainwashed) into believing you can’t wear white before Memorial Day (or after Labor Day). Yes, and you probably already heard a few years ago that rule went out the window, but like me…still would not go there thinking that exception was ludicrous and for the 20 – something set. Well I am giving you permission – no telling you to wear white now! It’s OK. Seriously. You will not be struck by lightening, your fashionable play by the rules great Aunt Betty will not spin in her grave and you won’t look like an idiot. I promise. Now, I’d still refrain from breaking out the white shoes just yet (I don’t wear them anyway because they make my size 9’s look ginourmous), but pair your white dress (or jumpsuit, pants, what have you) with black or tan slides, summery booties or cool sandals and a black or denim jacket with some great statement jewelry and you will be totes in style. Just do it!
