Top 5 Anti-Aging Eye Creams

The Fountain of Youth might elude us all, but we still try to chase it like trying to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Well at least I do and I know I’m not alone. And by now we all know the first place that gives away our age are the eyes. So an anti-aging eye cream is essential and one that actually works is preferable. I have tried literally dozens (I have a big box filled with them to prove it) so you don’t have to waste cabinet space and money on products that don’t work. Here are my top 5 anti-aging eye creams (in no particular order since I would recommend them all equally for different reasons).

1. Kate Somerville “Age Arrest” Eye Cream, $75

I love this eye cream so and have been using it for years. Kate Somerville Age Arrest eye cream is the first anti-aging cream with Telo-5™ technology, which prolongs the age of skin-cell telomeres. As you age, your skin-cell telomeres shorten and critical youth information is lost, leading to wrinkles, dryness and sagging skin. Age Arrest eye cream works to counter that, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles and visibly firming, tightening and toning the eye area while disguising the look of dark circles. I use it both day (under my SPF eye concealer) and night. I like that it’s thick and I can feel it tightening as soon as it’s applied. It’s also safe for sensitive skin.

2. La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream, $225

OK, sure this costs a little more (a lot) but your eyes are so worth it! They are the windows to your soul…and who wants an old soul? La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream feels as luxurious as you’d expect. The  lightweight formula helps erase dark circles, puffiness, dryness and lines instantly. It also helps your skin adapt to life’s daily stresses that damage your skin so you look younger longer. Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream also draws water into your skin and acts as a reservoir to keep your skin hydrated all day. Apply both day and night.

3. DNA EGF Eye Renewal, $70

DNA EGF Renewal DNA Eye Renewal is one I have discovered more recently and have come to love (the tube packaging is cool too). It was created by dermatologist Dr. Ronald May to rejuvenate, smooth and beautify the delicate eye area. This complete formula helps to reverse the signs of aging (immediate and long-term concerns) and promote firmer, smoother-looking skin. It targets dark circles, crow’s feet, thinning skin, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles. DNA EGF Renewal DNA Eye Renewal will immediately rejuvenate the skin around the eyes, making it appear brighter, tighter and firmer. Seriously.

4. Roc Skincare Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream, $19.99

If you have wanted to try retinol for it’s anti-aging effects, but have sensitive skin like I do RoC RETINOL CORREXION Sensitive Eye Cream is for you. Better yet, you can find it at your drugstore and it’s reasonably priced. It’s was specially designed for people whose skin is sensitive to retinol or who have never tried retinol and want a milder formula. Hyaluronic acid helps bind the essential moisture already in your skin to hydrate and re-plump. RoC RETINOL CORREXION Sensitive Eye Cream helps improve the look of fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet around the delicate areas of the eye with minimal or no irritation.

5. NeoStrata Skin Active Intensive Eye Therapy, $82

Here is another new one I have recently come to love. New NeoStrata Skin Active Intensive Eye Therapy is a fast penetrating age-preserving eye treatment that uses a multi-function approach. It lifts, tones, smooths and hydrates the eye area while helping to build and plump the delicate eye area to address crow’s feet, puffiness and volume loss. How? An apple stem cell extract preserves skin’s vitality as anti-aging peptides stimulate the matrix to produce more collagen. NeoGlucosamine fortifies the skin’s collagen support structure while caffeine promotes a more awakened look as it reduces puffiness. Even the deepest wrinkles start to appear softer and smoother instantaneously. Early signs of aging or just not getting enough sleep? Fake it till you make it with this one.
