It wasn’t that long ago that you only saw little kids in rashguards. We didn’t want our kids to burn, but it was OK for us? Granted, they don’t do much in the way of looking sexy per se, but skin cancer isn’t sexy either. I never would have actually even considered one myself until this summer. As you may or may not know I recently had spinal surgery and my doctor wants me swimming this summer, but only if I keep the scar that runs down the length of my back protected from the sun. Since I’m rather sensitive about it (won’t look at it) and would prefer to keep it hidden, the rashguard is the PERFECT solution. So I have been stockpiling. I now have 5 and am on the prowl for more. Athleta and Lands’ End have the best and most extensive collections by far, but department stores have begun carrying them as well. So I have decided to make covering up the new sexy. OK, maybe I will be alone on this crusade, but judging by the sheer selection of rashgaurds on the market this season, I’m obviously not alone. Here are some of my favorite rashguards of the season.
