Macy's Backstage Stores

Macy’s Backstage Expansion

Off price designer goods? We’ll take it! Macy’s 6 backstage pilot stores are set to open this fall in metro New York City and eventually convert some of their full-line regular stores into off priced units by spring of 2016. Macy’s is finally submerging themselves in the off-price world in order to stay in competition with stores who have already joined the movement including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and others. Macy’s backstage stores will offer merchandise including women’s, men’s and children’s apparel as well as shoes, accessories and home goods. Prices will also be from 20 percent to 80 percent off of original prices. Now that’s a bargain!

Emporio Armani Customized Vespa’s

Fashion label Emporio Armani has teamed up with Italian motor vehicle manufacturer, Piaggio, launching a customized version of this iconic Vespa that’s been on the streets since 1946! The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is a great mix of classic meets contemporary with a gray body style and hints of green that reflect in sunlight. The scooter also has matte metallic details, a brown leather seat, high tech controls for driving and the Armani logo on the side of the Vespa and on top of the headlight. These limited edition scooters will be sold starting this month at retailers in major cities all around the world.

App Periscope Breaks Barriers

Periscope is a live-streaming app that allows users to connect with one another through video and message during a live broadcast giving viewers the chance to connect with one another in a way that other social media sites have yet to tap into. This app is breaking barriers between consumers and brands ultimately giving shoppers a chance to articulate what they are looking for in their favorite brands, and give companies a chance to accommodate the consumer. Periscope launched back in March and its popularity is growing rapidly as more and more brands are joining in on this new way to show off their product, and get raw feedback. Check out the app and interact not only with your favorite brands, but other shoppers who enjoy these brands too.
