My favorite pair of black sandals. Ah, I remember them like it was yesterday. Actually I found them over three years ago. Matt Bernson Delphine’s and I wore them to death. Literally. They were the perfect combination of gladiator and wedge and the 1″ heel height made them ideal with everything from shorts to dresses and transitioned effortlessly from day to night.
Well after 2 seasons my perfect black sandals were destroyed. My shoe repair guy said they were beyond murdered and I had to retire (trash) them. I cried real tears. So I have been on the hunt for the equivalent replacement pair ever since and to no avail. Carol gave me a pair last summer, but they are too flat and I give me a blister within 10 minutes of wearing them.
Matt Berson (after my begging, I’m convinced) brought them back this summer in black and do you think they let their number #1 fan know? Of course not, so now they are sold out in my size everywhere and I no longer back the brand since they pissed me off/turned their back on me (Google Matt Bernson Delphine and you can understand my new-found distaste).
So help me pick out my new pair of the perfect black sandal for me to trash this summer:
