Tracy Reese Bringing Back Black Label

Tracy Reese will be bringing back her Black Label evening wear collection for fall. The collection originally launched in 2008, but due to the slumping economy it was forced to shut down. Now it is back and Reese sees this as a new opportunity for an elevated dress line. The line offers cocktail dresses, gowns and separates in rich fabrics such as: duchess satin, metallic jacquards with beading and faux-feather fringe embellishment. The line ranges between $348 to $1,318 and will be available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Anthropologie and Rent the Runway.

Proenza Schouler and Sacai Fall Campaigns Revealed

Proenza Schouler’s fall campaign took a new direction. First for the first time it casted a group of models: Anne Catherine Lacroix, Karolin Wolter, Liisa Winkler and Liya Kebede. Designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough were interested in capturing freedome and creative improvisation between the girls. There was no preconceived idea for what the end product was going to be either. They let the process completely direct the outcome. For Sacai’s fall campaign, Chitose Abe also wanted the images to have motion. The images feature Julia Nobis and Lexi Boling in mirror images, and will appear in the August issue of U.S. Interview and also the September issues of Love magazine, The Gentlewoman, Purple, Self Service, Interview and Ginza.

Adidas Launches Adigirl

Adidas is making high school female athletes a priority with their latest collection titled Adigirl. Great timing considering back-to-school gear is here! The collection is available on and also at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Adigirl targets five sports: basketball, volleyball, track, softball and soccer. Prices rang from $25 for a sports bra to $90 for a fleece jacket. Only apparel is available right now, but footwear is in the works for the future.
