Brad Goreski New Creative Director of C. Wonder

Just when you thought C. Wonder was dead and buried Xcel Brands last month acquired the brand for $12.5 million from Burch Acquisition LLC. (Tory’s ex-husband). Brad Goreski, stylist to the stars and Bravo personality, has just been named the new Creative Director for C. Wonder. Goreski will also serve as the on-air personality for the brand at QVC, where new pieces will be showing in spring 2016. Goreski explains, “I was a big fan of C. Wonder before…this was something I wanted to do for a while.” The pieces being brought to QVC will retail between $29 and $34 for knit tops and $248 for leather handbags. Home decor and houseware pieces are in the works for the future.

Christian Louboutin New Lipstick Line

On September 1, just one year after launching his nail polish line, Christian Louboutin will bring his red hue to another beauty product, lipstick! The lipstick will retail for $90 (wow!) and will feature 36 colors, one being the famed Rouge Louboutin shade. The Rouge Louboutin lipstick will be sold in an ornate crown-like black case with gold and silver accents, while the rest of the colors will come in a gold case.

The Black Fleece Era Ending

Brooks Brothers is putting an end to The Black Fleece era. The Thom Browne designed label launched in 2007 will cease after the fall 2015 season. The store will sell through the final season and put the collection on hiatus for a year before deciding if it will be revived at a later date with either Browne or an internal team overseeing the design. Other news for Brooks Brothers? Zac Posen was hired as the creative director last June and his first collection will hit stores in spring 2016. Zac Posen for Brooks Brothers? Way cool.
