Beautiful Brows: How To Get Them Gorgeous For Fall ’15

Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencils

In case you missed the memo for Spring ’15, that’s OK because it’s still all about eyebrows for Fall ’15 too. Strong, prominent, modern arches are literally everywhere. Just take a look at model and brow muse, Cara Delevingne, who sets the how-to-wow with brows standard. Now I’m of the belief that is you are over the age of 35 forget about the big, bushy brows you are seeing everywhere. Those models are 20 and you are not. I tried to let my normally wild, but managed brows grow out last summer and frankly I thought I looked ridiculous. Even Brooke Shields tames hers today. Why? Because when you get a little older you want your eyes to look open and wider and a sculpted brow helps achieve that goal.

Now you don’t want a skinny, drawn on line for brows (because that looks absurd), but you want something between that and a caterpillar across your forehead. One thing I am completely neurotic about is having my brows professionally shaped. Find someone that’s good! Pay the extra $10. Go to a brow bar or do some research on who does the best brows (wax or threading) in your area.

However, there are some new and/or improved brow tools to help you maintain your brows I want to share with you.

Hourglass, Arch Brow, Group Shot

Hourglass Cosmetics has had a fantastic sculpting mechanical brow pencil that I have used and adored for a while now, but it only came in 3 colors. Recently they added 6 new shades so now there is a natural looking shade for virtually everyone! The pencil has a unique triangular-shaped tip that combines the benefits of a powder, pencil and wax in one product to create buildable, fuller and naturally defined brows. There is a brush on the other end the help blend and groom brows into place. This pencil makes filling in and defining brows a breeze.

The nine colors are: Platinum Blonde (new), Blonde, Warm Blonde (new), Auburn (new), Warm Brunette, (new), Soft Brunette, Ash (new), Dark Brunette, and Natural Black (new).

Grande Lash BrowFill

Another product I really like the NEW Grande Naturals GrandeBROW-FILL. It’s a tinted brush-on gel that adheres to brow hair and skin to define, shape and build brows and arches, while simultaneously filling in sparse areas. It’s formulated with fibers and peptides so it creates fuller, well-defined brows that instantly lift eyes and give your face a more youthful appearance. The gel is long lasting, water-resistant and stays put all GrandeBROW-FILL is available in a light and dark shades and for about $20 your brows will look gorgeous.

Grand Brow

I have been asked by some readers if there is a product that helps brows grow. After years of waxing and tweezing I, myself, have a “bald” spot on my left brow which drives me insane, I fill it in with my Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil every day, but getting that hair to grow back sure would be amazing. Well thanks to Grande Lash (whose first product really works to make eyelashes grow, I use it) their new Grande Naturals GrandeBROW, will help you grow fuller brows.

This new eyebrow enhancing serum produces thicker and fuller looking brows within 6-8 weeks. A proprietary blend of vitamins, peptides, amino acids and conditioning ingredients work to create thicker and fuller brows. Vitamin E, a vasodilator and magnesium which is necessary for nerve function, work together to help activate dormant follicles to provide new fullness to the brows. The key ingredient is the Prostaglandin I.C. which helps to extend the length of the hair growth cycle. No more bald spots!
