Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour Costumes

Next to her music, Madonna has been praised worldwide for her style since the 80s. For her upcoming tour, Rebel Heart, fans have been anxious to see what she’ll be wearing as much as what will be on her setlist (which, by the way, will include “Vogue” and “Holiday”). She has been teasing us with snippets of some of her looks, but on Wednesday she verbally revealed to Women’s Wear Daily that Jeremy Scott and Alexander Wang made the cut. She also will be collaborating with Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele. She revealed the full list of designers today, which also include Prada, Fausto Puglisi, Miu Miu, Swarovski, and the Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran. Her longtime costume designer, Academy-Award nominated Arianne Philips, has been working closely with Madonna for the sixth tour she will be spending with the singer.  The tour opens in Montreal on September 9.

Engagement Lab Reveals Top Beauty Brands on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

While delivering social technology solutions to marketers, Engagement Lab is looking closely at what beauty brands are resonating with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram users. “The makeup industry has leveraged the Instagram platform as a place to demonstrate their products using both brand- and user-generated content,” said Bryan Segal, the chief executive officer of Engagement Labs. “Facebook has been amazing for impact and reach and Twitter is great for having ongoing conversations.” Today they are revealing the top beauty brands based on their social media performance on those three media outlets. Brands such as Aveda, Neutrogena and Benefit were some of the top brands for categories such as haircare, skincare and makeup. The full list can be found on Engagement Lab’s website engagementlab.com.

Brides Magazine Names Elle Strauss Fashion Director

Brides Magazine has named a new fashion director for the first time in 18 years: Elle Strauss. Previously working as senior fashion editor at Lucky, though, she is not new to the world of Condé Naste. She was also most recently the fashion and style director for Shopbop, as well. “Her impeccable sense of style, creative vision and proven track record as a leading fashion director and stylist will be extremely valuable, as we continue to take the brand to new heights,” says Brides editor in chief Keija Minor. You will see her influence over Brides on December 24 for the February/March issue.
