Trust me, I get it. Pregnancy in the summertime can get a little, well, tr(icky). This week Monica, from Chicago, needs some help dressing for a child’s birthday party. A few things I should mention. It’s an outdoor party and it’s hot outside since it’s August. And Monica’s 7.5 months pregnant. Did I mention it’s hot?
So how do we balance that big, beautiful baby bump in a super-chic outfit while still beating the heat? You’ve come to the right place!
At this stage of my own pregnancy, the fitted maxi dress was my best friend. It’s easy, lightweight and an all-in-one outfit when all I really had time to think about was how this baby was going to make his way into the world.
Go for something lightweight and fitted in order to celebrate that growing baby bump of yours. Pair the dress with flat sandals, some great sunglasses and a simple clutch and you’re good. I’ve included a jean jacket that you can a.) wear if is should get a little chilly and b.) tie just under your waist for a few extra cool points (if it fits)!
