Spring and summer are all about living life with ease, and you can have it starting with a fresh cut and color from Sassoon! The Sassoon SS16 Collection – TORQUE was inspired from the heritage of Sassoon ready-to-wear hair and the infamous space-age mod look of the 1960’s. The Collection demonstrates how Sassoon’s innovative design process remains relevant and revolutionary today. Precision cut and color techniques fused with innovative products create a truly bespoke approach to every detail of hair.
For the first time, the blending of two shades, Rose Quartz and Serenity, were chosen as the PANTONE Color of the Year, and play up a softer side this season with cool hair color hues at Sassoon. Palettes are inspired by simple precious stones and metal including rose gold, amber, opal and moonstone.
Nicole Tabloff, Salon and Color Director in Chicago uses fusion highlights on my hair to give it the same luminosity. “Natural hair (if you look at a child’s hair) has variations, so I use 2-3 colors for highlights and color to create multi-dimensional tones.” Nicole said. “For your hair, I often use 3 colors and the forth is your hair left uncolored. The highlights grow out more naturally this way, too.”
Before my cut I asked Jeremy Jernigan, Senior Stylist what he suggests for spring/summer hair styles. “Women want a versatile style, one that can be worn slicked back and smooth or rough dried by hand to encourage movement. I recommend a cut that will make your life easy for the season and one you can wear multiple ways.” He showed me how to rough dry my hair as an option on humid days.
Here are some styles from the TORQUE collection and you can see how they can be worn slick or natural. Your Sassoon stylists and colorists will customize a look just for you to fit your lifestyle.
