Fashion Week Sring 2007 Trends

With only two days left of
New York Fashion Week here are the emerging trends that you can expect to see for Spring 2007:
Dresses-this is once again the key ingredient for spring. You will continue to see babydoll, shift, kimono, wraps, jersey and sundresses, but adding to the mix are tent, sack, trapeze, (inverted triangle) and bell shapes.
Skinny pants-pants for spring are super skinny drainpipe and ankle length. Think Audrey Hepburn. Paired with a boxy cropped jacket, the look is extraordinary.
Florals-large or small print, appliqués, rosettes...they were all represented.
Yellow-unfortunately, the color that few can wear well is back in tones like marigold and buttercream.
Gray-in lighter fabrics the hues range from charcoal to dove to slightly metallic.
Trenches-you will see balloon and trapeze shapes, with large buttons.
Eyelet-white or black was shown quite a bit.
Slouchy light gauge cashmere sweaters and jackets
Shorts-Bermudas, walking and tap
Pleats-it looks like they are emerging again. They have been seen on skirts, dresses and yes, pants.
