Considering the print trend for spring/summer, but afraid to go all out? Hey, we understand. Head-to-toe prints are not for everyone and let’s face it, we may feel a little too mature for a trend that may be best left for the under-25 crowd. However, we really don’t think you should avoid prints altogether. In fact, we have noticed an amazing trend for spring 2012; partial prints. Think of it as color-blocking, but with prints! A little pop of print against a solid color may be just what the doctor ordered. In fact, it’s a lot less obvious than pairing say a patterned top with a solid suit. That in itself could be rather aging. So look for a little or a lot of pattern with the solid. The choices are endless. Here are 10 partial print pieces we are loving right now:

1. Peter Som Bamboo-Print Dress, $960.00 and Coat $1395

2. Altuzarra Coconut Printed Silk-Paneled Perforated Leather Dress, $2545

3. Tibi Tahiti Boat Neck Dress, $440

4. Etro Printed Dégradé Stretch-Silk Dress, $1320

5. McQ Alexander McQueen Printed Cotton Dress, $445

6. DKNY Printed Stretch Silk-Blend Crepe de Chine Dress, $345

7. Versace Silk and Crepe Dress, $2925

8. Zero + Maria Cornejo Chaos Dress, $825

9. Roberto Cavalli Orchid-print Silk-Georgette and Stretch-Crepe Dress, $1310

10. Whistles ’60s Flower Print Silk Dress, $260.93
