Rain Boots On My Mind

Fountain of 30

With Hurricane Sandy thankfully gone and a nor’easter on it’s way, the northeast has seen it’s fair share of rain (and possibly snow) lately. It’s enough to drown any person’s fashion sense. So obviously my thoughts have turned to boots. Rain boots. Now when I am poised for a day of rain I usually don jeans and my rather ugly Wellies. Now I know Hunter Wellies are a rainy day fashion statement here in New York, but I don’t particularly like them. For one, I walk funny in them. They are a little too long for my lower legs and cut into and buckle at my knees making me walk like a duck! Two, I don’t find Hunter Wellies attractive. Now that I have found my perfect trench I need to complete my rain outfit with a new pair of boots. So I got searching and found there are some pretty cool rain boots to be had including biker boot styles and wedges…even heels! So I am proud to present you with 10 pairs of chic(ish) rain boots that are NOT Hunter Wellies:

1. Ahnu Laguna Rain Boots, $159.95 (I have this pair in black and love them!)

2. Wedge Welly Man Eater, $94.95

3. Burberry Wellington Rain Boot, $285

4. Women’s Medina Rain Heel Boot, $200

5. KORS Michael Kors Stormette Rubber Boots, $125

6. Loeffler Randall Rain Slip On, $150

7. Jimmy Native Rain Boots, $90

8. DKNY Active Women’s Niagra, $59.40

9. GUCCI Brogue Style Wellington Boots, $295

10. UGG Australia Women’s Madelynn Rain Boots, $160
