The Thank God Comeback of The Season: The One-Piece Returns!

Fountain of 30

January 2, 2013 • Fashion Blog, Trends

I just want you to know I predicted this…women everywhere can breath a sigh of relief – the one-piece bathing suit is making a MAJOR comeback. Just in time for your mid-winter vacation and the summer ahead, teeny-weeny bikinis are no longer in style. So sorry Jennifer Aniston. When I opened up my NY Post this morning I saw vindication and confirmation…there in bold print the headline read “Buh-bye Bikini!” Let me tell you what I went through last summer trying to find a one-piece that didn’t read motherly tankini or fugly old-lady suits. In a word it was hell. I lost weight and wanted to look good, but nobody wants to see my post-baby abs. Not now, not ever. One store owner said she has ordered 20% more one-pieces over last year! Praise be!

I’m not saying you shouldn’t still go to the gym, but that you +

can um, breathe a little easier. Heck, even Rihanna has been spotted sporting a one-piece! Michael Kors has some beautiful striped one-pieces coming for Spring 2013 (I don’t see them for sale yet) and Norma Kamali has some modern, yet retro-inspired options you can check out 365 a year! Here are 10 options currently available to help you get a jump start on making waves:

1. Luxe By Lisa Vogel Opening Night Maillot, $ 115

2. JETS by Jessika Allen White Label Distinct Two-tone Molded Swimsuit, $325
