Jane Iredale Tantasia

Jane Iredale ‘Tantasia’ Self Tanner, $36

I didn’t think I had time for a tan this summer. That was until I tried Jane Iredale ‘Tantasia’. Let me start by saying I really dislike self tanners. Mostly because I can’t stand how they smell. However when I opened the tube of Tantasia I immediately noticed the fresh bright fragrance of oranges and lemons. Another problem is the fact that I have very dry skin, and self tanners can clump and leave streaks if I am not completely exfoliated. I gave Tantasia a try on my face and body, and found it quite hydrating.

I did not understand how the ingredients “work along with your own melanin,” but after 3 days I was elated! It was a pleasant surprise! I looked down at my legs and the winter white pallor was gone and a bronzed tan (not orangy color) took its place! I am now free to wear skirts and dresses. However it works, I know it is safe. That’s because I met Jane Iredale herself and she told me she uses all natural ingredients.

Features and benefits:
– Builds a gradual, natural-looking tan within just three days, for optimum control and customization.
– Fresh citrus fragrance.
– Streak-free formula.
– Sensitivity tested for multipurpose use on face and body.
– Provides natural hydration to the skin.

Jane Iredale ‘Powder Me’ Dry Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, $45.50

Powder your nose and get sunscreen all at once! Jane Iredale ‘Powder Me’ Dry Sunscreen controls the summer shine on my face, but I can also use it all over my body. It contains titanium dioxide and a natural clay dried in the sun and is completely free of contaminants and atmospheric pollutants. Ancient clay also contains minerals that nourish and calm the skin. Powder Me provides Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and UVA P+++ protection that is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes. It’s also recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective sunscreen against UV rays.

Jane Iredale lip drink lip balm

Jane Iredale ‘Lip Drink’ Lip Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 15, $12

Pack your beach bag with this soothing lip balm. Jane Iredale ‘Lip Drink’ Lip Balm actually tastes good, unlike most SPF balms that have that bitter taste. I thought it would dry my lips out but it actually does the opposite and stays on a long time! The reason is it contains no petroleum-derived products and if you are a regular user of petroleum-based lip balms the more you use, the drier your lips become. A base of macadamia nut oil with an added active sunscreen ingredient provides Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and UVA P++ protection. Lip Drink contains antioxidant green tea extract and vitamins E and C. The flavor is a mixture of lemon and orange oils and it feels moister on lips than a traditional lip balm. Recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective sunscreen against UV rays. I plan to use this lip balm year round and at night even without the sun!

Jane Iredale Pommisst

Jane Iredale ‘Pommisst’ Hydration Spray, $18.50

Here is one more multipurpose favorite by Jane Iredale. ‘Pommisst’ provides hydration and a layer of Jane’s sun-protective minerals on your skin. This hydration spray offers the added benefit of pomegranate extract, a powerful antioxidant and UV protector, also known to help protect against skin cancer.
