Is it bad that Carol and I had such a blast getting ready for our own event? As soon as the Rent the Runway Chicago store opened Carol and I were ready to go and meet our stylist Asia with our Spanx and heels in hand.
We tried on several looks until we approved each other’s (the one Rebecca Taylor dress I had on above did not make Carol’s cut). The Chicago Rent the Runway store is amazing and jam packed with dresses for every occasion complementary handbags and jewelry. It was also packed at 11am on a Thursday morning. Don’t judge how we look in these pics. Our hair and makeup were not done yet.
This is the look I chose:
La Petite Robe di Chiara Boni Black Angie Gown, $150 rental
Adrienne Landau Black Rabbit Capelet, $75 rental
Carol loves Derek Lam which is why I thought it looked like something she already owned. We saved it as her back-up dress.
Sachin & Babi Geisha Dress, $120 rental
Lulu Frost Portico Cuff, $40 rental
Ben-Amun Cascading Gold Earrings, $65 rental
John from MAC is trying to get me all glammed up. He spent a long time on my eyes, but they were smoking!
Kourtney from Sassoon worked her magic and styled our hair in a flash! It helped that we both have Sassoon color and cuts to begin with.
