Red is everywhere this Fall and it’s coming to a lip near you. Finding your perfect shade, however, can be downright scary. Now calm down, you don’t have to look like a hooker wearing red. There are a million different hues so there has to be one (or ten) perfect for you.
Most importantly, you must take your skin tone into consideration. What is your skin-tone? If you are pale, fair-haired and fry after being in the sun for 10 minutes, you are most likely COOL. If you tan like a goddess, have darker skin and darker hair, you are most likely WARM.
Cool skin-tones actually have more red choices. You can wear true reds, pink/reds and anything deep with a berry or blue tint. Stay away from orangy-reds as they will most likely wash you out.
Warm skin tones should stick with anything called ‘brick’ ‘rust’ or ‘tomato.’ Look for a brown or orange undertone. Stay far away from anything with ‘pink’ in it or you will look like you need CPR.
