Handbags. The Quest for the ‘Non-It’ Bag. Second City Style Fashion Blog

Fountain of 30

May 16, 2007 • Accessories

Since the spring season has been all about the ‘it’ bag to the point of ridiculousness we have made it our duty to find the season’s "non-it" bag. There are so many other fantastic bags that have not been receiving the same attention as say Louis Vuitton’s frightful leather and lace monstrosities. We say banish the overdone, over-advertised, overpriced and over-hyped handbag in favor of something a little different. Go for something unexpected and mix it up a little as in…canvas mixed with leather. These bags scream high-style not NOTICE ME.

  1. Morganne says:

i think the Katherine Kwei handbags look absolutely gorgeous! i can’t really afford it but the watersnake skin is so flashy!!!

  2. It’s nice to see a bag celebrated that isn’t the Balenciaga bag of the moment…or the metallic Alma. Although I’m not a Kooba girl, the Charlie Duffel could certainly change my mind. 😉
Thanks for getting our heads out of the sand and reminding us that there is life outside of the LV Speedy. 😉
