Fountain of 30

Summary: This was a seminal collection for Vivienne Tam in that it represented the introduction of her TSL Jewellery line, accessorizing her SS13 looks with “perfectly balanced works of wood, jade, gold garnet and agate to embolden the spirit and enhance energy,” according to her show notes. I loved the jewelry, and found it a welcome, dynamic addition of statement pieces to an already strong collection filled with intriguing shapes, chic looks and luxe fabrics that spoke volumes about Tam’s intricate attention to detail.  The oversized leather clutches were a favorite, as a well as a pair of black and gold triangle earrings that hung down to the chin and attached in the middle of the ear. I fell in love with a tomato faille deep V dress that extended into a strong rectangle and was paired with a multi gold garnet geometric necklace. A black and white cotton knit tee featuring an asymmetrical mesh torso and black, white, charcoal and teal crepe de chine printed palazzo pants was another top choice look. Tam’s geometric take on classic looks and energized accessories made an impact. Good for her for broadening her design horizons – both expanding her brand and empowering her visual aesthetic.
