Summary: I always look to Chaiken for a clean and classic collection. The show did not show anything new, but we were seeing beautiful, wearable clothing reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. The coats at Chaiken are always cut beautifully and this collection included a few light versions, shirtdresses, and safari jackets in taupe-iced linen. Everything looked pulled together. The collection included a selection of easy silk and halter dresses, as well as crisp light silk voile A-lined dresses with a fold in the front. The models wore large brimmed light straw black hats to add classic elegance.

Color Palette: white, black, taupe, caramel, porcelain, olive, aqua, seafoam, navy

Textures & Details: linens, silks, silk chiffon, silk cotton viole, twill, white swiss dot, porcelain brocade, silk cotton lawn, pleats, tiers and tucks, clean lines, black and white stripe elastic belt pulled together suits, shirtdresses, pants and skirts. Wavy water colored geometric patterns of aqua and olive, and a black and white geometric leafy 50s inspired print. Flowing and shiny pleated and tiered silk in solid colored added texture.

Key Looks: Clean sleeveless A-line dresses, crisp shirtdresses and suites, belted, high waisted wide leg trousers, safari jackets and separates pulled together, soft and flowing silk halter dresses in solids and prints, and a beautiful silk gown selection in pleated and tiered silk in bamboo, zinc and seafoam.
