NY Fashion Week Spring ’08. Oscar de la Renta. The Master of His Domain. Second City Style Fashion Blog

Fountain of 30

September 11, 2007 • New York Fashion Week Spring '08

Summary: Oscar de la Renta once again dazzled, as to be expected. He decided to show outside the tents this season at an old Georgian church on Park Avenue
replete with a choir. Oscar de la Renta showed several (of a whopping 67 look collection) of what are turning out to be trends for Spring ’08…strong colors, safari wear, patterns and beading.  Where the designer always excels is eveningwear and this collection was as understated and elegant as one could have imagined. There of course were some show-stoppers like the strapless black and white  gown with a spray of feathers. Oscar de la Renta is truly an artist whose work seems to outdo itself every season. Thank God for consistency.
