Summary: In what could have been a typical sea of Lauren camel, beige, black and brown we found a collection that experimented with saturated colors and textures in a largely successful way. Maintaining his classic style, (you’ll find no pantaloons here) Lauren’s classic plaids were created with contemporary bodies that were full but not dowdy. Feathers evoked old-world grace without abandoning the class of Princess Grace. Most notable, however, was his confidence in color: refusing the designer’s temptation to allow black to steal the show.

Colors & Fabrics: Black, bright eggplant, London red, cranberry, white, leopard, muted gold metallic, green/teal, check plaid, houndstooth, satin, velvet, and patent, wool and cotton.
